Best Friends Forever!

I love all my friends and they’re one of the parts of moving I’ll miss MOST. I basically do EVERYTHING with them. Right now most people’s after school activities are done, so that means that now I get to hang out with my friends even more. I just said my first goodbye to a friend. She had to leave school early because she’s adopting a sister from China. That was hard.

With my best friends Marley and Zoe

I have a best friend that I’ve known since I was two. We went to the same preschool, and were always in the same class there… but now in elementary school, we’ve never been in the same class once!

I have another best friend whom I’ve known since kindergarten. Even though kindergarten was the only class we’ve been in together, we are still best friends. I have way too many other great friends to name them all, but those two (Zoe and Marley) are my true BFF’s in the world.

My House. (I Mean My Apartment).

Today is June 3, 2015. We signed the lease on the house we wanted in California, so I’m even more excited about it now that we have it for sure. We are just renting it for two years, and then we are either A) moving back to New York, or B) staying there longer or C) buying a new house. EEEEEEEEEE! I am so excited. Can you tell? I bet you can.

My NYC bedroom

Right now I live on 93rd Street. I have a pretty small room because the people that lived here before us had no children.
So we built in a wall to give me a room! My dining room would’ve been bigger, but the wall is cutting off part of the dining room. My sister’s room was the old den and her desk is where their TV was. When we moved in here, we made everything MUCH MORE modern and much nicer. It’s just down the street from my school so I can walk there in just a couple of minutes every day. I love that our building has a roof deck and a playroom; on the roof we would always have summer dinners or just play around. In the playroom my friends and I always played circus and I loved seeing the babies that would play there too. I love coming home from school, walking in my room, and seeing the beautiful light coming in through my big window.

I LOVE our apartment and I am really going to miss it.

I’m Avery.

IMG_0525Hi. My name is Avery. I’m only 9 years old, but I’m going though a lot right now. So my mom said I could start a blog. I’m moving from NYC to CALIFORNIA, and I’m moving from urban to suburban.

Today is June 1st, 2015. So we only have about one more month here. I have a bunch of friends and I’m really sad to leave them, but I know I’ll make new friends really fast. We found this AWESOME house. It’s on an avenue called SEAVIEW! Also we all have walk-in closets and our own bathrooms! Oh, by “all” I mean my 14-year-old sister, my mom, my dad and me. My parents will have a JACUZZI TUB in their bathroom! They and my sister will both have balconies off their bedrooms. For just being 9 years old, this is AMAZING. I am so excited to move!
